Post the success of its previous edition, I have to admit, I had a strange fear set in — the fear of not chancing upon any more unique baubles to present at my next Travelling Dukaan. Was there a possibility that resources were limited? Had I seen all the beautiful jewellery there was to see? And how many installments of the Travelling Dukaan would it take for me to run out of designs I love at first sight? *shudder*
Luckily though, the universe proves me wrong again, and the weird excitement I’ve come to know and love is back — heralded by my squealing-ly announcing that the Travelling Dukaan is BACK! — and this time around, it will have pieces like never before! In fact, the stuff I’ve got my hands on has pretty much left me stunned — I’ve spent nights dreaming about them, after days hunting them down on my feet. All worth the hard work though.
Festive season, as they like to call it, is upon us — Diwali around the corner, and yet another shaadi season approaching. A blink of an eye and we’ll hit New Year’s, and if we’re lucky, a handful of parties and celebrations along the way await us too (fingers crossed). So maybe this is just me, or maybe the trinkets screamed for my attention and found their way here for all these reasons! Either way, the time is just right — they are waiting to be seen, sighed upon, dreamt about and taken home — the spirit of their karigar still alive in every piece *deep sigh*
I’d like to kickoff this edition of the Travelling Dukaan — what we’re calling the Diwali or Festive edition — by thanking my amazing team who are tireless behind the scenes — and boy, do I know it can get a bit (read: very) mad. Honestly, the whole thing is nothing short of a miracle, and I’m eternally grateful for it. My helping hand on this project, Manuel, tends to get swamped while on the job, and might take a few days to reply to your queries, but I promise he will. I might take more time (than usual) to respond to messages too, just due to their sheer volume, but I swear I will, and if by chance I miss any, you’re welcome to annoy me like a friend would.
Again, I feel compelled to mention, you don’t have to buy anything (or everything) — feel free to just look, stare, fall in love, and enjoy, because at the end of the day, that’s what jewellery is meant for anyway. I can’t afford a lot of things I post/list myself, but what the hell — a girl can dream. So drop me a message every time you truly love a piece and we can both — or all — lust after it together ♥️
You’ll see that I’ve tried to touch more price points this time, but as always, it’s really about my desire to simply show you what the karigars in this country are capable of creating. I also promise to bring you a few museum-worthy pieces, reminiscent of the splendours of royal courts and palaces, getting you to imagine wearing them shirtless for a black tie event (like they definitely got me ?), with a dinner jacket, or just a t-shirt with sky high heels — oooops, there I go to dreamland again...

~ Each product is posted with codes and prices mentioned in the picture itself.

~ The availability of the pieces is first-come-first-serve as a lot of pieces cannot be remade, although some can, so do check!
